Medicine & Life Sciences

Explore the many sides of medicine and life sciences, from clinical practice to laboratory research and biomedical discovery.

The ProEd Approach

Students start by exploring the wider world of medicine and life sciences, from the human body and patient care to research, public health, and scientific discovery. From there, they go deeper into their chosen area through hands-on, career-focused experiences.

What Students Will Experience

01

Understand the Science

Explore the human body from cells to systems, investigate disease, work with clinical and laboratory data, and see how research moves from discovery to treatment.

02

Experience the Profession

Develop practical skills through clinical simulations, laboratory work, diagnostic challenges, and experiences with practising clinicians and researchers.

03

Put Learning into Practice

Take on a Field Project, develop ideas with professional guidance, and present the final work to a panel of external professionals for feedback.

Build the Case

ProEd Field Project

Build the Case

Students bring together what they’ve learned through a clinical or research-based Field Project. This could mean exploring a clinical challenge and proposing an intervention, or developing a research question and designing a scientific study. With professional guidance, students develop their project before presenting it to a panel of external professionals for feedback.

ProMed Virtual Medical Observership

What Parents Say About Our Programme

The programme confirmed exactly what I wanted to study. The hands-on labs and mentorship from real practitioners made the difference between reading about a subject and actually living it.

Now studying at a top UK university

I came in unsure if this was the right path for me. By the end of the two weeks I'd built something I was genuinely proud of, and it made my decision so much clearer.

Went on to study the same subject at degree level

The tutors treated us like we were already colleagues, not just students. That mix of challenge and support is what made the experience stick with me.
