UK’s First Virtual Medical Observership
ProMed is the UK’s first virtual medical observership created specifically for school students preparing for Medicine, led by experienced NHS clinicians.
Streamed live from a London medical teaching facility, the programme gives students a structured window into how medicine is practised across different clinical settings. Through realistic patient scenarios, first-person and team camera views, briefings and guided debriefs, students see how doctors assess patients, make decisions, communicate and work together.
Across 12 live sessions, students explore medicine from frontline general practice and hospital wards to emergency medicine, surgery, cardiology, paediatrics, trauma and critical care. They observe how clinical decisions change depending on the patient, setting and level of urgency.
Running from January to June 2027, sessions take place twice a month on Sundays, with recordings available to all enrolled students. The programme also provides material students can reflect on in personal statements and interviews, alongside a portfolio for UCAS.
